That's how long it took me to go from "I don't know when I'm going to play again" to loading up a fresh set of games. Seven. Hours. It reminds me of those times when I woke up with a terrible hangover and told myself I'm never drinking again, only to have a beer in my hand later that night.
Per usual, Stars was fantastic in not only their response but their response time. They refunded me a bit of the losses, although not as much as I'd hope to get as we have different opinions of what "materially affected" means. Oh well, I'm grateful I was given any sort of reimbursement as they obviously didn't have to do a thing.
Willpower; I don't has it. It's not that I don't try. Let's take dieting, for example. I'll go to the grocery store and load my cart up with all sorts of quality, healthy stuff. And more importantly, I'll leave out all of the junk food because I'm the kind of person who can't resist the plate of cookies on the counter.
After returning to Thailand last month, I wanted that to change. I wanted to nurse my willpower, and focus on improving my physical and financial health. Basically that meant hitting the gym more often (and with more vigor), eating well, and of course, grinding. I'm pleased with the results so far.
While it's come at the cost of being somewhat reclusive, I'm up nearly $15k and depending on the day, down between five and six pounds. So I guess the weight I keep losing in my midsection is made up by a much heavier wallet. That's a trade I'll happily make.
