Haven't done much, poker-wise, in the last week and a half. Shipping $5.5k didn't do much for my work ethic, as I've only played a few hundred games since. Even when I took an impromptu four day Vegas trip, I didn't play a single hand of poker. Instead I took the time to grind slot machines with my dad, a decision I'd make again 100 times out of 100. At one point I was able to calculate how much I was losing per 'pull' but luckily a steady supply of alcohol and laughter helped me bury that thought deep inside my brain. I mentioned it to a grinder I met here in Vancouver and apparently he does the same thing so now we're obv best friends.
My lease expires February 29th which means I'm down to my last month in Canada, at least for the time-being. I hope to get in 2k+ games because I won't have the chance to play when in the U.S. and I know I'll get the itch as soon as loading games is no longer an option. With my roommate still in the midst of a month-long prop bet which has him clogging up the STT lobby, most of my games will be 180s/MTTs. I might still be able to fit in a few sets of 9 mans here and there, but he's been grinding 10+ hr days for almost two weeks now. Good work, kid. Only if I could find that sort of motivation...
