The Glass

Bink.

A few hours ago I finished 3rd in the Big $22 for $5.5k.

I promise to only spend a paragraph on this next bit. Promise. I'm obviously happy to ship the biggest score of my career, but I'd be lying if I said I haven't been thinking about the first place prize of ~$12k that eluded me. Obviously I was lucky to navigate my way through a field of 4600+ but man it feels like the victory slipped right through my fingers. It didn't help that there was such a discrepancy between 2nd/3rd place money or that on my final hand I was coolered AND slowrolled. Bah.

Now with that pesky negativity out of the way, I want to focus on one singular positive -- I feel I played extremely well, especially during the final few tables. Fantastic calls, good folds, and at the moment I can't remember a single misstep although I've been awake for way too long. I'll be covering the significant hands and discussing them at length in my next instructional recording for PokerVT. Really excited about that making video.

It's become sort of a tradition to celebrate a deep run/four figure cash with steaks so I treated Sandmanness, Dunc13 and his girlfriend to dinner at a Glowbal Grill in Vancouver. Hands-down, the most delicious steak I've had in Canada. I may have felt full afterward but I remain hungry for more MTT/TCOOP action. Nom nom nom.

Well done mate... your progress improves as years go by. No doubt you will get more and more chances and have the experience to know what to do.

FYI I like your longer paragraphs! =P
