The Prize

Good things about this week:
- I've accrued 3k VPPs, leaving me 5400 short of my goal

Bad things about this week:
- Everything else

Haha okay, it's not thaaaaaaat bad. But the past two days have been pretty sick. The red line isn't great, the green is much much worse, and I've had some gross finishes in some of the softest MTTs. Minutes ago, I had AA vs QQ for the chiplead of the $30+3 $6k Guaranteed with 20 left and busted. Not a good feeling.

In total I think I'm down $550-600 ish when I could easily be up $1-2k. But I've got to shake it off and keep my eyes on the prize. In time, the variance will even itself out. Maybe not before the challenge ends, but at that point I'll be too busy having the time of my life to care about such trivial things.

Five days.

I think it is a little cold here in San Diego to be going to the beach :P Haha probably not compared to Canada though lol.

Could you tell me what documents pokerstars required you to send them after relocating? I would like to be playing as quickly as possible once I arrive :)

1) Bank account information
2) Signed copy of lease
3) Utility bill

After that, I still had to wait a week while they verified everything and called me -- that's another thing, you'll need a landline phone.

Hey, I can't find a way to send a private message, so I guess comment completely unrelated to your post it is then.

I have been seeing you around the tables lots lately, so thought I would say hello, especially now that you are a fellow Canadian.

Mind if I ask you a couple questions? Today you shoved over my early position raise plus another fishy reraise (or was it a call, not sure) in mid game with AK. Which is ok I guess, but what did you think I had? Squeezing the fish, ok, but still, I wonder what the thinking/math there is, isn't there a high chance I have a good pp in that spot and call you putting you out mid-tourney? It wasn't a bad move, I just thought it was too early in the tourney for it. It worked out well for you, but I was puzzled a bit I guess... (btw I folded JJ there and fishy guy called with A9, so you won that one).

And seems you have lots of poker buddies, so do you know any really good MTT coaches? I am trying to get into MTTs more seriously, any suggestions appreciated.

See you around, though I plan to greatly cut back on my poker, so maybe not as much.

@Vievna: Email works fine. acbarone@comcas.net.

As for the question(s), I won't go too deep into it here but there's a ton of value in my shove if you're opening something like AJs+/88+ and only calling QQ+/AK+. And I bet you're opening wider plus there's dead money in the pot.

Second part, don't know any MTT coaches but I'd check out 2+2 because there are a lot of solid guys on there.
