The Broken Record

Today, I broke my record for 'Most games played in a day.' Obliterated it. I believe the previous record was 250 or so, and I passed that around 8 PM. When I offhandedly mentioned it to my roommate, he said "Well you can stop now."

I could. I only need to pay $200 ish in rake per day to reach my goal, which still doesn't have a name. But obviously the more games I put in now, the easier it will be "down the stretch." So after I exhausted myself at the gym, I returned home and played another 150 games for a total of 405.



Games #310-360 look sad

Now I won't say this was super easy, but I was still able to wake up at my leisure, spend an hour at the gym, and take a few breaks to recharge my batteries. So I guess the question I'm asking myself is, "Could I do this more often?" I'm surely going to try. If I kept this pace up, I'd reach 200k VPPs in only 24 days. Yes, it'd be 24 horrible days, but still something to consider if I fall behind pace for any reason.

It's funny -- I've been so caught up in volume that I've been totally ignoring profit/loss totals. Looking at them now, I'm not making much per game ($1.16) but it's a teeny tiny sample and if I can play 400 games a day, that's not too shabby. I fully expect the ROI to go up, although it'll likely settle a bit lower than my "expectation" because I'm forcing myself to put in volume and therefore playing sub-optimally at times.
